Writing

What’s going on?

A lot! Not enough of it novel, but the novel is making progress. I’m very excited about the method I’m using, and though I’m frustrated to not be racking up the word count, I am developing the story and have physical proof of it. Things nag me, I figure them ...

Writing, to do list, and training

Well, I guess we’re in a bit of a blog drought here. Usually inevitable with huge inputs of information coupled with creative outputs. I’ve been thinking heavily about the Fiction Fridays. I’ve been advised they’re a good idea, but since going to Dave’s novel workshop I am in the process of giving my ...

Dave Wolverton’s Novel workshop day 1

Peter’s story line happens about a thousand years earlier. The first entry for Peter is chronologically well after the next entry and the one I’m about to post. ...

My friend, John Brown, recently landed a 3 novel contract for which he just got the publishing dates out. He was in Uncle Orson’s Literary Bootcamp with me way back in 2002. Things like this make me excited and pump me up to write more. He also just put up ...
